It’s not enough
It’s not enough to be against something we must become anti-racist not tolerating it in any situation. Then our duty together is to call it out. When we see any injustice we must call it out by name and reveal it’s face. We can no longer run away from hurt, pain, and the systemic injustice that has been created to pigeonhole human beings for over a century. The cycle must be broken. The system must be eliminated until we rebuild one that protects us all. The revolution is being televised. Some people thought it couldn’t happen and they think that it won’t help. Have you been made to feel uncomfortable? Have you been inconvenienced?
We may not all understand everything but we have a responsibility to inform ourselves about the topics that are important to us. If you want understanding engage in positive talk with as many different people as possible. Bring your heart and be willing and able to listen. This time it’s about George Floyd. This is really about all of us. Silence is complicity. We as a collective can no longer sit back and accept two sets of rules for different group ms of people. A uniformed police officer murdered a man while he placed his hands in his pockets. Then he went home ate dinner and slept in his own house and bed. That’s what this is about. No one is above the law. The evidence has proved their system protects their own. How can we change that fact? Punish them by the full degree of the law.
